ABOUT DEBS
Deborah is a graduate of English and Literary Studies from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Ondo State. Currently, she’s a professional human resource and equally actively involved in promoting mental health awareness under the aegis of Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative.
As an avid reader and writer, she commenced her blog by sharing tidbits of her life to help other people in her shoes realize they are not alone. This started with focus on body struggle, self esteem issues, relationship wars and the struggle to be a better person. Eventually, she realized that a blog can be more that just a personal diary. Hence, the need to writing with her audience in mind.
During this period, she wrote her first book Fading Away, that was published on Okadabooks. Fading Away is a non-fiction compilation of poems telling a story from the first page to the last. It shares the tale of an abused victim who channels her hurt into love and fails woefully at keeping one. She journeys on finding this answer through her insatiable quest for love until she lost herself in the process and then finds redemption through writing.
