Traveling is low key becoming more than a past time to me but an adventure I truly enjoy. While I couldn’t travel as much as I wish to this year, I hope to make it an habit for next year and I already have a bucket list of top places I would love to visit.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea if you have been saving for an amazing Christmas getaway with your loved ones, it makes the journey a little easier. If you are still indecisive on where to go to, I would be sharing my top Christmas destinations you should consider to explore.
#1: Dubai
If this doesn’t top my list, I am not sure where else will. This is a city I have been to and I can testify first hand to its beauty. Dubai is one of the amazing Christmas destinations for those who love to enjoy and have a memorable holiday. Aside the great offer of getting cheap flights to Dubai, you should anticipate having an all round fun all through your stay.
Choosing Dubai as one of your Christmas destinations doesn’t mean you will miss any of your usual traditions because it is a Muslim country. Look forward to a sunny Christmas if you do not want to be wrapped up in a blanket and sitting by the fireside. You should also expect to eat out as most of the city restaurants offer mouth watering buffet. Aside the shopping therapy, be on the lookout for a visit to the Safari, Ski Dubai, Wild Waldi, and the beautiful fireworks display on New Year’s day. Start exploring the opportunity of flights to Dubai so you are not caught unprepared.
#2: New York City
This city is famous as a city that never sleeps. Be on the lookout for Rockefeller Center Christmas tree or have fun shopping the holiday markets at Union Square. The Rockfeller tree is always put up mid-November but isn’t lit up until the end of November.
The Bryant Park is one amazing park you should consider if you love skating.
#3: Venice, Italy
This city is known to host a lot of tourist all through the year but in December, you will get a different view. Look out for Doge’s Palace. It is the building that more than any others embodies the spirit of the golden age of the Serenissima Republic. You can take an excursion to the Venetian Lagoon and the Island of Murano. The glass decorations are always a beauty to behold and you’d even find a Christmas tree made of Murano glass. And do not forget to have a Gandola ride, it’s a boat ride that afford you the opportunity to have an amazing moment while in Venice.
#4: Mackinac Island, Michigan
Amazing moments to look out for on this beautiful Island include snow, restaurants with menus to fit any wallet or palette, shopping, snow and of course skiing. You can also visit the Grand Hotel, The Arch rock and Fort Mackinac. There’s no better beautry than laying lazy on an Island and savoring the beauty of the festive holiday decorations around you. If you’ve seen the movie Somewhere in Time, you’d come to love this Island more.
#5: Amsterdam, Netherlands
There’s an amazing history of the Dutch doughnuts which is not only known to be so tasty but is said to ward of evils spirits. If you have sugar rush like myself, be sure to bless your taste bud with one of the dough. If shopping is your therapy, you’d be intrigued by the 26 different Christmas market you can shop from in Amsterdam. Be sure to include it in your top Christmas destinations if you have not.
#6: Tallinn, Estonia
Tallinn isn’t one of the most popular cities in the world but the first world’s Christmas tree was erected in this Estonia capital.
The World famous Christmas tree in Town Square Hall is a must see. Every year, visitors can come and make Christmas wishes under this tree. It is an European country that attracts tourist from all over the world due to its spectacular market. Local merchants are on hand to offer everything from their handmade crafts to a variety of local dishes and festive drinks.
Although Tallinn may not be at the top of your European Christmas destinations wishlist, you will sure change your mind through the pen of Chris.
