Not everyone is designed to quit their job and become an entrepreneur. In fact, not everyone is built to becoming an entrepreneur because it is not an everybody thing. Entrepreneurship will look all rosy and easy from the outside until the day you delve right in and the sleepless nights begin. It is not a task for the faint-hearted or people who easily give up. So before you sit back to read this post, ask yourself first if you really want to be an entrepreneur. Are you really ready to leave your glam office life to running around trying to please your customers? Or face the angry client who will lash out so much on you, you begin to wonder who died? Are you willing to endure the very broke life where you question your existence? If yes, then let’s get into how to be a successful entrepreneur.
#1: Passion
It is not enough that others are doing it, but how very passionate are you about what you are doing. Passion is what will keep you in it for as long as it keeps hurting. It is passion that will drive you to be more and do more until people begin to applaud you. So, ask yourself what you really love doing before venturing into it. Is it beauty, styling, blogging, writing, designing, coding, branding? Be sure it is an activity you enjoy doing even without the money factor.

#2: Being A Successful Entrepreneur is all About Hard Work
There’s no successful entrepreneur who attains the peak without years of hard work. There’s no short cut to success without the sleepless nights and round the clock sacrifice. You have to be willing to do the dirty work and the non-stop learning, branding and rebranding. At any point where you feel very exhausted, take a break but do not quit. Quitters are losers. Let the end goal be your motivating factor, when at the end of the day, you look back at all the long hours you’ve put in and be glad it paid off.
#3: Take Risks
Risk taking must be one of the essential features of every businesses. Most successful entrepreneurs has at one point or the other suffer risk that would make them want to quit. But because it is what they love doing and they are very determined to tell their success story, they persevere.
However, as an aspiring successful entrepreneur, it is important to know which risk is beneficial to your business. Not all risk should be jumped on, endeavor to understand the downside of every risks and be sure it is one you wouldn’t mind if it ends as a loss.

#4: Do Not Engage Who You Cannot Fire
A lot of times as entrepreneur, we are faced with being the HR, Manager and Admin of our businesses. When we are in our HR form, we must ensure we hire the best hands and someone with whom you can work with. So often, we employ family and friends forgetting this is a business venture. And when situations where we need to share our grievances occur, we are faced with a wall without knowing what to do next.
At every point where we need to make such business decision on whom to employ, be sure you are hiring people you can work with and query where need be.
#5: Trust Your Gut
There are days when we sometimes go back to the books to see what decision to take next. Sometimes a faint voice based on instinct resonates far more strongly than overpowering logic. Our brain would always want to use logic to understand why a decision is wrong but trust your heart to guide you through such days. No one knows as much about your business as you do, trust your guts.
#6: Be Adaptable
Things will not always go as planned, it is up to you to be able to adapt to whatever situation presents itself. Some days, digital sales would not be what is best for your business but physical marketing and sales. Do not restrict yourself to what others are embracing, rather focus on what is obtainable at that moment. Build your business in such a way that you can easily adapt to the current market trends.
A successful entrepreneur is never too proud to accept when there are new opportunities to enhance their offering and better satisfy the needs of their customers and the market as a whole.
#7: Stay Hungry and Ambitious
They say the day we stop learning is the day we die. A successful entrepreneur is forever resilient. Even when others look up to you and believe you have evolved and have reached the peak of your career, remind yourself that you are just starting. Let the desire to always meet your customers needs help you stay ambitious and drive you to be more. Remember that market trends evolve with time and you have to be dynamic and change with these times. Be hungry for more knowledge, power and even money that you strive to stay at the top of your game at all times.
#8: Help Others
As entrepreneurs, we are quick to tell ourselves we are very busy hence we cannot listen or help others. This is true but remember that no man is an island. At some point, there comes a time when you require the help of others. Learn to help others grow as you go and guide them where necessary. This is another trick to growing your network. Do not be known for that brand or business who never help others.
Conclusion
Becoming a successful entrepreneur entails so much more than the points I have raised above but these ones would help you. Hire great partners, plan your finances, network, identify your target customer, listen to your customers/clients, exceed your clients needs and self-promote your business are more tips you need to get your A-game on.
Are you an entrepreneur? What other tip would you add to these? Leave you business link and what you do in the comment section as well, let’s help each other grow.

This is an Entrepreneurship mini-lecture Debescorner. And yes like you stated; Don’t follow the crowd as an entrepreneur, because you’ll definitely get lost. Get a direction and focus, redress and do a customer scan and check. Study them and their habits too as well as your inter and intra business environment. Because everyone has a bang or look-like huge sale in the web all the time doesn’t me you must sale online too. Find your calling as all entrepreneurs got a calling to answer. I always love your posts.

Wow, thanks for this insight and you are quite right. For every action, there are several other approach to making it work. And it’s important that everyone find which works for their brands or business.
